The scope of this blog is the growing pains, lessons learned, moments of clarity, and progress along the way, as we renovated our first home. The original plan was to share all that real time, as we went through it. But, the physical work kept us too busy to give enough attention to content. Plus, the closer we came to the end of renovations, the more I thought we should just finish and share this project in its entirety. So even though it’s technically a blog it’s really a static site. This is it for this one, folks. Next time around (and, yes, there will be more of these projects for us) we’ll try for more of an ongoing blog.
Meditations on Dwelling talks about what we were looking for, how we came to own this home, and it’s condition at purchase. Also covered are lessons learned, how our daily lifestyle/location vision has evolved, and what is next for Foust/LaRue.
After that, each area and system we have touched has its own section and the posts within each section are chronological, most recent at the top. So, in order to have context for the process and end result, start with the first post and work your way up. (Note: some photo slide shows cover many months so the chronology gets a little thrown off by that…)
